It’s Time To Turn The Heat Up on Management

As we prepare for the next phase of negotiations, demonstrating our unity and solidarity is more important than ever. Our Mobilization Committee has a series of activities planned to help turn up the heat on management and let them know that we all stand with our Negotiating Committee. Help send management a powerful and loud message that they must recognize our value and deliver a contract we deserve!

Red AFA Pins

On June 26, 2023, our Master Executive Council (MEC) adopted a resolution officially changing the official AFA pin at Alaska Airlines from white to red. The red AFA pin recognizes our solidarity and support for our Negotiating Committee as they continue their effort to reach an agreement that recognizes our contributions and value.

How do I get a red AFA pin?
Red AFA pins will be available soon from your Local Council. Be on the lookout for a communication from your LEC Officers or Local Mobilization Committee with information about the distribution plan for your base.

Once you receive it, be sure to wear your red AFA pin every time you fly, attend training, or participate in a company event!

Tell Management: We Deserve Better!

Take action now and send a letter to executive management telling them to deliver a proposal that puts Alaska Airlines Flight Attendants at the top of the industry. Join in and send a letter to CEO Ben Minicucci and COO Constance von Muehlen urging them to get back to the bargaining table and give us a deal that recognizes our value and contributions to Alaska Airlines. Keep track of our progress on the campaign page and encourage your flying partners to join in!

Pop-Up Pickets

Unlike our scheduled Day of Solidarity event in August, pop-up pickets are designed to surprise management. If a pop-up picket is going to take place in your base, it will be announced with little notice and communicated directly by your Local Council. To ensure you’re in the loop about any upcoming events, follow your Local Council’s social media and email newsletters.

Red Bag Tags

On August 15, we launched a new red AFA luggage tag to show our commitment to the fight for a contract is stronger than ever! These luggage tags and our red AFA pins show management that we stand solidly behind our Negotiating Committee as they return to the bargaining table to achieve the contractual improvements we deserve.

How do I get a red bag tag?
Red bag tags will be available soon from your Local Council. Be on the lookout for a communication from your LEC Officers or Local Mobilization Committee with information about the distribution plan for your base.

Once you receive it, attach your red AFA bag tag to your luggage before your next trip. Place it in a spot that will be prominent and visible when carrying your bags.
