Our Mobilization Committee

What Do They Do?

The Mobilization Committee works to provide support to the Negotiating Committee through coordinated solidarity activity and two-way communication between the membership and the committee.

Volunteers will work closely with the Local Mobilization Committee Chairperson to call other members to action through participation in organized solidarity activities and a program of information sharing with Flight Attendants.

What is Mobilization?

Mobilization is more than just a committee—it’s a program of action and information that allows every Flight Attendant to play a positive role in building a strong voice in support of our Negotiating Committee.  Mobilization establishes a structure to provide information about key issues and achieve a high level of participation in solidarity activities. The structure allows information to be shared quickly and effectively, primarily through one-on-one interactions driven by Mobilization Volunteers in each base.

Mobilization Volunteers

Mobilization Volunteers work to involve Flight Attendants in the negotiating process by actively sharing news and updates, educating them about official resources, and asking them to show support through collective actions. LEC Officers in each Local Council will begin looking for volunteers in the months leading up to the start of negotiations. Click here for more information about how you can get involved.

Mobilization Committee Chairpersons

MEC Mobilization Committee Chairperson

The MEC Mobilization Committee Chairperson leads the committee’s effort and is responsible for coordinating the activities of the committee across all six bases. Get to know our Samantha Wolff, our MEC Mobilization Committee Chairperson.

Local Mobilization Committee Chairpersons

At each base, a Local Mobilization Committee Chairperson facilitates committee activities and leads our dedicated Mobilization Volunteers. Find your Local Mobilization Committee Chairperson below.

Samantha Wolff

MEC Mobilization Committee Chairperson

Samantha began her flying career with Virgin America in 2011 and now flies for Alaska Airlines. Prior to her inflight career, she attained a bachelor’s degree in fine art and worked as a legal assistant in a law firm in San Francisco.

In 2022, she was appointed as the SAN base Mobilization Committee Chairperson and took on the role of Grievance Committee Member for the base as well. Her passion for her profession, as well as her objective to unify the Flight Attendant group at Alaska Airlines, has fueled her acceptance of the MEC Mobilization Committee Chairperson position.

She lives in San Diego with her husband, an Alaska captain and long-standing union volunteer, and their 3 rescue cats. She has two inspiring step-sons, one in college for music composition and theory and one in the National Guard.
