Q: The Company is required to provide a hotel/transportation if a multi-day trip is reassigned to multiple trips with RON at domicile – is the same true for a pre-cancellation?
Although it is not technically codified that a hotel will be provided in domicile for an alternate assignment, a Flight Attendant just needs to ask for hotel/transportation in domicile if the alternative assignment is multiple combined trips with RON(s) in domicile. It is to the Company’s benefit to provide a hotel if needed – otherwise, the flight Attendant can waive pay and be released from the scheduling obligation – and either have the day(s) off, or pick up a different multi-day trip.
