Q: Is there any scope risk with the Management Immersion Program?
No. This program is similar to when we were able to job-shadow a CSA – a popular program to understand a different workgroup’s position. It would be similar for management, performing service duties only. Think of it as a service flight for directors and above.
Inflight Management already has the ability to fly now – both for their regular “familiarity” flights, and also as necessary to prevent a cancellation. These provisions are outlined in Section 3 – Scope (including a cap on the number of management certified as Flight Attendants). The Management Immersion Program LOA is completely different, and they would not be taking a Flight Attendant position on the flight.
If there was a work action, the Company would need to send individuals through full Flight Attendant training (5+ weeks) in order for them to replace a Flight Attendant at work.
