Q: I don’t want to keep checking my pay to ensure it is accurate! Is there any change to ensure everything is paid automatically, and to address transparency and accountability in pay?
We continue to push for pay provisions to be automated. It is our position that the majority of our provisions are fully programmable.
Throughout the process, we made sure to discuss what could be automated. We have also been meeting to discuss an implementation timeline for updates.
If the TA is ratified, the programming changes will begin – they cannot be made prior to the date of ratification. Many of the pay components (rates, per diem, etc.) will go into effect immediately. Some will take effect once implementation/programming is completed and will be back-dated to August 14th. Others that affect the entire year such as PPP will begin on January 1st, 2025.
The goal is to automate as much as possible, and the Company has agreed they do not want to rely on manual processing.
