Q: How can we prove accurate times for our flying schedules – like Sit, ground or block delay, etc.?
The Company is required to accurately report flight times – if not, they can be fined by the FAA – especially regarding crew rest documentation and legalities.
There is a background process that occurs, which Flight Attendants don’t have transparency to. The AFA Scheduling Committee works in tandem with Crew Scheduling when there are issues. It may be frustrating to have to call an AFA rep when you have a question about a potential error, but that’s why they are here – to assist you in making sure your pay is correct and you receive the rest to which you are legally and contractually entitled.
