Q: For DHD flights, when do they need to book and put the code, so we can select meals and seats?
Standard practice, if seats are available, is to process a DHD booking 20 hours prior. Open Time moves very quickly, so it is possible the DHD was booked, but depending on trades, the Flight Attendant may need to call to have the booking updated.
There also was a recent clarification from the DOT that the Company can’t use a general DHDFA booking, they have to actually book a ticket for the Flight Attendant. CS is looking to automate the booking process rather than CS processing manually. There isn’t a timeline at this point, but they are highly motivated so they don’t have to keep up with trades.
