Q: Can you discuss pay rates, inflation, and the cost of living?
Since January 2020, inflation has increased 22.3%. Our increases combined with Boarding Pay are 32% at Date of Ratification. In the out years, inflation is now projected to be around 2%, and our negotiated increases are 3%, above the projected inflation rate. Additionally, one reason we fought so hard for retro pay was to address the impact of inflation. However, we understand, especially for more junior Flight Attendants – earning a living wage in our most expensive cities is elusive. We fought for and achieved significant pay rate increases and improved many other compensation items in the TA.
