It is taking more time than anticipated to complete the clean up of the full-text language of the TA for your review. Our goal was to provide the full text prior to the start of Roadshows. Although the parties have not finished formatting the full text yet, we are making the decision to publish what is available – the bulk of the agreement. We know you’ve been waiting. We will post the remaining sections (5, 8, 9, 10, and 11) as soon as they are formatted, which will be prior to the start of voting.

What’s Taking So Long?
This is the first Section 6 negotiated TA with a requirement in the AFA Alaska MEC Policy Manual for the full text agreement to be presented to membership. In the past, summaries and/or drafts were published for Roadshows while the full text was available later.
With this requirement in mind (which we believe is beneficial to membership), we set an aggressive timeline. Some of our key counterparts involved in final review of language are new to this process, adding extra time prior to final formatting. Despite working 24/7, we have not been able to meet the timeline. We regret the delay, but appreciate your understanding.
What’s Next?
We’ve heard you would like to see additional Virtual Roadshows, and we are evaluating where an addition is possible. For now, review our published Roadshow schedule and register for a session.
