* Note: The retro pay calculator is currently pulling all ratification payment eligible pay (all TFP earnings) from December 1, 2022 through your January 20, 2025 paycheck (i.e., through December 2024). In other words, January and February 2025 flying is not currently included.
† Note: Boarding Pay will be implemented on a go-forward basis if TA2 ratifies. Boarding Pay will not be applied retroactively.
Terms and Conditions of the Ratification Payment:
- Must be employed as an Alaska Airlines Flight Attendant on the date of ratification (currently scheduled for February 28, 2025) in order to be eligible.
- Ratification payments will be paid on TFP during the following eligibility period (the eligible TFP pay codes were reviewed and approved by AFA and the Alaska Labor Relations team) and paid at the appropriate pay rates (e.g., one’s step rate at the time of the activity, paid at straight time or at the applicable premium):
- Dec 1, 2022 to Nov 30, 2023 (1 yr): +3%
- Dec 1, 2023 to April 30, 2024 (5 mos): +3% for a cumulative increase of +6.1%
- May 1, 2024 to March 1, 2025 (10 mos): Δ from pay rate(s) as of April 30, 2024 to TA2 pay rate(s)
- Ratification payments will be taxed using the aggregate method (using the wage bracket method, considering year to date income earned and W-4 withholding elections) instead of the supplemental tax rate.
- The Ratification payment check will be paid on or about April 18, after regular payroll is finalized on April 15, and will be deposited as a separate check.
- Ratification payments are pay only and do not apply to 401k, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), or Performance Based Pay (PBP).
