The original implementation timeline, which only included provisions with agreed-upon implementation dates, was published prior to ratification. Several items needed additional discussion and/or programming before determining a projected date.
Most new/updated provisions have been implemented. We’ve continued discussing the remainder and have updated the implementation timeline accordingly:

Additionally, we’ve published an updated CBA 2025 Summary of Changes document.
Several new practices are in place for Flight Attendant use, with new processes outlined below:
- Requesting a wifi code for a DHD
- Inflight Website > Schedule & Bidding > Deadhead Wifi Code Request
- Requesting release from contactability after self-assignment on Reserve
- Inflight Website > Schedule & Bidding > Release from Contactability
- Submitting for reimbursement (less than 3-hour call out on Reserve, training hotel/transportation, hotel self-help, state bank sick leave verification once implemented)
- Inflight Website > Administration > Pay & Benefits > Expense Report > Payroll > Expense Reimbursement
- turn the completed form and receipt(s) in to a base supervisor
- Inflight Website > Administration > Pay & Benefits > Expense Report > Payroll > Expense Reimbursement
- Trading Premium Open Time sequences
- Call CS before the earliest departure of both sequences to have trip annotated and paid correctly
- Reserve opt-out of personal drop after RAP commences
- Email CS at CrewSked.FADesk@AlaskaAir.com to notify of this preference after submitting for a personal drop
We have also updated many of our flow charts, available here:
- Commuter Policy – Air
- Commuter Policy – Ground
- Minimum Pay Rules
- Pre-cancellation
- Reassignment
- Reassignment Pay
Two important notes:
(1) Reserve contactability – Reserves must continue to check Company e-mail at the end of their assignment until the full B2B contactability provisions in §8.Q., §32.C.1., and §32.C.15. are implemented (tentatively June 1, 2025). CS will not be able to contact APSB Reserves via Teams Messaging until the full B2B contactability provisions are also implemented.
(2) Registered commuters traveling to Company training in domicile – Registered commuters should continue to use the commuter priority (D8Y) when traveling to/from Company training in domicile on Alaska mainline (and SkyWest operated as Alaska Airlines). Registered commuters can use the positive space non-bumpable priority (B3) only when traveling to/from Company training out of domicile (per §30.A.9.b.).
Work continues on the index, citations, and hyperlinks of the final CBA document. We are aiming to publish this document electronically on our website and the IMD within the next month or so. Printed copies will be made available in the next several months once the electronic version is published. We’ll keep you updated as our work progresses. Please continue to rely on your LEC Officers and Committees as resources.
In Solidarity,
AFA Alaska Negotiating Committee
