Can you clarify what “The earlier of Occupational or Alaska Air Group (AAG) seniority used for non-rev pass travel” means in our Opening Proposal to management?

September 21, 2022 by Negotiating Committee

Q: Can you clarify what “The earlier of Occupational or Alaska Air Group (AAG) seniority used for non-rev pass travel” means in our Opening Proposal to management?

The current application for Alaska Airlines Flight Attendant non-rev pass travel is the earlier of Occupational (Alaska Airlines Flight Attendant) or Company (Alaska Airlines employee) seniority. Only two workgroups do not allow former Horizon Air employees to retain their Alaska Air Group (AAG) seniority for non-rev pass travel: Alaska Airlines Flight Attendants and Pilots.

This proposed change would allow employees from Horizon Air who become Alaska Airlines Flight Attendants to retain their AAG seniority for the purpose of non-rev pass travel.

This would be amazing! Giving up 17 years of travel seniority moving from QX to AS was pretty devastating.

Yes, to honor our Group we might want to consider allowing this.
