- 59.1% of Alaska Flight Attendants participated in the survey to help shed light on how painful it is trying to live with our outdated pay rates
- The data compiled will be brought to the bargaining table during the next mediation session, taking place April 16-18
- Management cannot continue to ignore the fact that our Flight Attendants are struggling to pay for normal life necessities due to their inaction at the table
Thank you to all who participated!
As of today, the Flight Attendant Financial Security Survey is closed with more than 59% of all Alaska Flight Attendants responding.
Our Negotiating Committee has tried over and over to tell management how damaging our outdated pay rates are, and now they will have the data to show in black and white. Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey. Your responses paint a clear picture of the real toll this outdated contract is taking. That picture will be shared at the bargaining table in front of the mediator.
Completing the survey holds management accountable, not only to the mediator, but to the public. By sharing the struggles we are forced to live through while we wait for management to stop dragging their feet, we are bringing to light the severity of our situations.
While Ben Minicucci, Constance von Muehlen, Shane Tackett and other high-level Alaska executives enjoy tens of millions of dollars in bonuses, our front-line Flight Attendants literally go hungry and can’t pay their bills. Management should be ashamed of themselves! Enough is enough.
Management will now have to answer directly to the Flight Attendants. We will show them how we are forced to cope. They can’t ignore these facts any longer! No more stalling. Pay us or CHAOS!
