- Our Negotiating Committee is bringing the cold, hard financial facts to the table. The Financial Security Survey is formatted to show specific financial data that pertains to our collective struggle with outdated work rules and pay rates
- Management will no longer ignore the fact that Alaska Flight Attendants are struggling to make ends meet.
- All Flight Attendants, regardless of seniority or financial status, should fill out the survey.
Our Negotiating Committee asks ALL Alaska Flight Attendants to complete the survey by April 9 at Noon PST
Our Negotiating Committee is bringing the harsh reality of our outdated pay rates to the April mediation session. Management continues to boast record profits while our flight attendants go without basic human necessities.

Note: the survey is being conducted by AFA International and all data will be anonymized.
Why this survey? We need to know the full scope of Flight Attendant financial security to back our table arguments.
Who should fill out the survey? All Flight Attendants, regardless of financial situation.
We know our pay rates are severely outdated! Inflation has eaten away at any standard of living that Flight Attendants at the top of the pay scale have tried to create for themselves and those at years 1 through 11 are paid below living wages!* Flight Attendants at all seniority levels are being forced to fly significantly higher than our awarded lines or work second jobs to meet our financial needs.
(* Based on a 75 TFP Line average for Lineholders and 90 TFP Reserve guarantee of the most senior Reserve in the past 12 months.)
Management refuses to acknowledge the magnitude of suffering our Flight Attendants endure. Their high salaries insulate them from the economic hardships that plague the rest of us when we must make difficult financial choices.
Our Negotiating Committee hears the continuous outcry of suffering from our members who struggle financially or who have experienced a dramatic drop in their quality of life.
Management seems indifferent to the stories of our pain. They claim to understand numbers, so that is what we need to bring them! Our Negotiating Committee needs the data – we need to hear from all of you to make a powerful, collective case to management and the mediator.
Management must come to the bargaining table with compensation that restores our standard of living by providing all Flight Attendants with a living wage and the ability to build a financially secure future.
By filling out this survey, you will help us make our case! Encourage your flying partners to complete their survey as well. We need everyone to participate to show management these numbers won’t fly any longer.
Are you angry and frustrated with management? You should be. Complete the survey by Tuesday, April 9 at 12 PM PT.
Ben Minicucci, Constance von Muehlen, and others are holding up negotiations by insisting on antiquated pay rates that do not address today’s labor market or recent inflation. They claim to be “data driven”. Let’s give them the data!
